The self-funded D.Y. Patil Education Society, also referred to as D.Y. Patil University, is a recognized university. In 1989, the society established its Medical College. It is one of Maharashtra's reputable medical universities. The university was named in honor of Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil, renowned and accomplished educationist. It offers some best and most amazing resources that a student can use to become a wonderful doctor in the near future. 20 full-time research researchers and 14 cooperating faculty members are engaged in various projects approved by BRNS, Mumbai, DST, DRDO, and CSIR, New Delhi.
