University (GKU) was established by an act of the Punjab state legislature. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), and other organizations have approved and recognized Guru Kashi University in addition to the University Grants Commission (UGC).

With 12 colleges, University offers education at all levels in various subjects, including engineering, management, the humanities, pharmacy, the arts, and many more. The candidate must have 12th from an accredited board to be eligible for B.Tech. LEET applicants are also accepted by the university for B.Tech programs.

The candidate's merit determines their admission to various UG and graduate programs. Candidates for M.Tech programs must have at least 50% in bachelor's degree in the same field. For MBA graduation is must.

Entrance exam is used to determine admission to Ph.D. programs. For Ph.D.s must have obtained at least 55% in PG. On the university's official website, candidates can register by completing the online/offline application form.

Additionally, the university offers one-year certificate programs in X-Ray Technician, Yoga, Gurmat Sangeet, Gurmat Viakhya, Sikh Martial Arts, and many other subjects. After 12th candidate can register in certificate programs.

Selection Criteria:

Admission to programs including BCA, B.Sc., B.A., B.Ed., and B.Lib. is determined by merit or by admission exam that the institution conducts online.

As long as the applicant holds diploma in the same discipline, courses such as BCA, B.Sc. (IT), and B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.) offer direct admission through LEET into 2nd year of the program.

Eligibility:

Minimum 50% in the appropriate field in BE, B.Tech, M.Sc., or MCA, OR passing Sections A and B of the Institution of Engineers (India) Calcutta exam SC/ST category are eligible for a5% relaxation. Both full-time and part-time M.Tech programs are available.

Selection Criteria:

After a round of counseling, admission will be given based on GATE.

Admission 2024 to PG Program:

At PG level, the university provides 2-year M.Com. and MBA programs with several concentrations. The university also provides M.Sc., M.A., and MCA in addition to these programs.

Admission to the doctoral program will be based on the candidate's performance on the entrance exam, followed by an interview.
